Since the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, remote evaluations have been part of everyday practice in the evaluation of development cooperation and humanitarian aid programs. Remote and semi-remote evaluations mean “remote-controlled” evaluations without on-site expert teams, or “partially remote-controlled” only with national evaluators on site. In this handout, practitioners have put together tips and suggestions for planning and implementation. The document is aimed at evaluators and clients.
