Sustainable Development Solutions (SDS) works at the nexus of research, policy, and development practice to maximize progress toward the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Paris Agreement on a global, regional, national, and local scale.
In cooperation with European Union Member States, United Nations agencies, international financial organizations, the commercial sector, governments, academia, and civil society,
- SDS mobilizes independent expertise from scholars and freelance professionals to encourage practical research and problem resolution on a wide range of challenges.
- SDS promotes science-based SDG implementation, independent monitoring and accountability, feedback loops to identify gaps and prioritize long-term policies, and peer-to-peer learning to identify best practices and local solutions.
- It also encourages global and regional cooperation to achieve the SDGs.
We are supporting and extending the Coalition for Sustainable Development, as well as developing a forum for sustainable development that will allow the government and private sector, non-governmental organizations, and citizens to gather knowledge, take accountability, and take action toward attaining the SDGs. We shall also continue to raise awareness about SDGs.
Karsten Weitzenegger formed SDS to continue the team’s successful collaboration on Estonia’s Voluntary National Review. The corporation has been registered as osaühing in Tartu, Estonia, since 2022.
